please can any one tell me what plug i need to take
2 pin round one

or 2 pin flat one or is it more technical than that

Ordinary European type (round pin - have only used flat pin in USA).

Where r u going? Just remember u r not going to Alps, price reflects that. The people may seem "different" at first, but they're really friendly. Keep yr sense of humour with u n u will have great time
