what is currency

Hi
Simple question. I'm confused.

I've heard people talk about the cost of things in levs and then others talk about euros.
What is the currency here
thanks
Melissa

The currency here is the £.

In Bulgaria it is the Lev. Razz

Fly 6am Wednesday morning Robo (that's if the ruddy tickets arrive Sad)

Just looked at the Killington website, 6" of snow last night, 69 miles of runs open and all lifts Razz

Think I'm gonna be knackered this time next week. Very Happy

Believe me Robo, I am having serious withdrawal symptoms at the moment. First time in 13 years I've not been heading off to Pamporovo so at this minute, monitoring this site is pure hell Razz

re: what is currency

best thing to do is get a Nationwide current account and use the ATMs - you don't get charged a fee (as with other banks), you get local currency at the bank rate as opposed to tourist rate, far better than any bureau de change at the airport etc. I got 2.8 lev to the £ as opposed to 2.5 a friend got at Travelex, and there are plenty of machines/ banks in Bansko. not an employee, just a long standing happy customer.
prices at Sophia duty free were in Euros though - go figure!
