whats for me ?

as a non skier/border, is there anything anyone can recomend to keep me amused whilst the others are off boarding, ?????????????????? also how does the phone system work ? is it pay or card phone ? cheers :

Depends which resort you are in - There is loads of walking you can do in all the resorts.

If you are in Bansko - you are in a town so there are all the facilities there...

In Borovets there's things like the Rila Monastery and you are not that far from Sofia.

In Pamps you've also got Plovdiv about 90 minutes away and also Chepelare which is a town as well as a ski resort.

If you are going to Borovets then you can still take trip up the Gondola to the top to admire the views and enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants up the mountain, there seemed to be a few people doing this (you will need to enquire about a day ski pass though). Some of the bigger hotels had decent looking swimming pools and jacuzzis etc. so if you are staying at the Rila / Samakov in Borovets this might be an option for you.

thanks lou j, staying at the edelweiss hotel, there is a pool being built at the sister hotel bor, but it appears after booking that it will now not be finished. can you use the facilaties at other hotels, like the pool, and jacuzzis, that sounds mighty fine to me.. a week of relaxation and pamparing......
