Just back from pamps flew out from Gatwick to Plodiv.Extremely cold at present but still good skiing,if a bit icy.Best legal exchange rate in the bank below perelik or the cash machines. New restaurant opposite the Perelik just on the left as you go up hill, just opposite the big steps ground floor of a two story house. Its called the Eureka, new this year, service, food and prices all excellent, best food outside the morg and much cheaper. White Hart is still arguably the top venue but the Planet disco worth a visit just to see the very nice looking dancers now employed by the owner. The Restaurant up the tower has been refurbished and provides both excellent food and views but expect to pay about ten levs extra per person for it.Warning, dont feed the kids too much before the return journey, they are still prone to car sickness. The duty free has closed at Plodiv Airport. Did the Plodiv Trip before flying out, CD are six levs in town, drinks good prices but not many liquor shops open on Sunday. did not see a single ski shop selling boots etc so dont leave that to Plovdiv as some did,you will be disappointed. The reps recommendation to the grill bar opposite Macdonalds is genuine, not one moan on the coach. Overall dont expect to much, most said definately once was enough.Year seven been and gone ,new friends made and looking forward to year eight.See you on the site next year, unless I can scrape some more money togeather and go again next month.
