Pamps and Borovets are both good and both have their plus points.

Borovets has the advantage of the slopes being on your doorstep for most of the hotels. The Rila - one of the best in the resort is right at the bottom of the slopes - you could ski right home.

In Pamporovo, the majority of the hotels are approx 3km from the slopes and you have to get a rickety ski bus to the slopes - or a taxi at about 10 Lev. Best hotel is the Pamporovo, but the Mourgavets is also fantastic and is ...

Both resorts are fantastic and you'd have a great time at either one.

re: where to go?????

£350 hols cost
£100 learn to ski pack (lift pass, tuition, boots and skis)
£150 spendies if you are out every night but on a budget I would say

Some might say a bit less spendies (if on a budget Pamporovo is a little cheaper than Borovets)

re: where to go?????

Laura, I got a trip to borovets through Opodo for £398 inc ski package/lift pass and lessons for the week, shop around and you can save nicely Smile

I am not taking any more than 150 spendies as I reckon that should put me in an alchoholic coma most nights Smile

p.s. Ours is with Thomson Confused

Laura the equipment is updated now and anyway as a learner it would not make much of a difference to you. Go to Pamporovo book the Hotel Murgavets Take £250 spending money if you get through that you will have done well Very Happy

re: where to go?????

Bit shy on the spendies. We did about £450 - £500 between 3 of us but my missus doesn't drink and nor does my 5 year old daughter.

Can't really think what I spent it on ?????????????????????????????????
