There is no possible accurate answer to your question Brian as each resort has it's own special magic.
Borovets and Pamporovo are fairly simular in runs and nightlife,. Ask a person who has been to Pamps many times and thay will say that it is the best, but the same applies to folk who have been to the other resorts.
Bansko has had a lot of money spent on it, and probably is the most chic resort of the 3, but the other 2 have more history and possible more charector.

All have great instructors who speak excellent English and are hell-bent on making your holiday fun.
Pick any of the 3 and you will have a great time, but which one is your choice?
For me it's Pamporovo, but for many others it will be different.

i have been to Pamps and Borovets, and I would reccomend Pamporovo for beginners.Borovets is more commercial,and the skiers have more choise, but for 1st timers pamps is a must.
Been to all three and most recently to Bansko, in my opinion the recent investment in Bansko has left the other resorts well behind,brand new 4 and 5 star hotels first class lift system and a lovely old town equal a great holiday, the skiing first class to!
I was a beginner in Bansko this year and loved it. The kids in the family were well looked after, kept together at mealtimes, taken somewhere to warm-up when it got really cold and, despite a little less ski time than me, both ended up better skiers!
BANSKO! I'm biased though only been to Bansko this year, but from what other leaner skiiers told us the lessons were excellent. For a beginner/early intermediate snowboarder as I am I thought it was a great resort, enough runs to get you going and progress. No queueing, for lifts at all. Food was good on the mountain. Told night life was OK. Bars we went to very good. Not too commercial yet, but with all the investment in the hotels etc, I guess it's coming. Hotel Strazhite excellent. What ...
