re: which is better ????

change pounds in the resort, you will get a better rate. Or use the atms, they give the best rate and if you have Nationwide, No charges either.

Hi Louise,

Bring some 100 Levs for the first day if you like. But there is no need. You can change at any hotel (nealy at any time), the rates are not to good but you safe change fee you will have to pay in UK. You can change GBP as well or you can use your credit card (best rates and only a small fee of about 4 or 5 €). Only change at a BANK !! Ask your operator for the next office, offers vary.

to be honest - not a fan of exchanging money at ANY hotel anywhere in the world as you'll be rippied off.

so ATMs most probably are your best choice.. plus its the rate for the day - in case the pound strenghtens that could be good..

hi louise

i always change in the hotels im staying in and they always have the exchange rates displayed so theres no chance of being ripped. a lot of people use a nationwide cashcard in the atms as there is no charge but in my experience the atms are a bit hit and miss so i always take cash. remember they should be crisp clean notes with no tears on writing on them though. i wouldnt worry too much about exchange rates in the resort because youre only talking about losing or gaining a ...
