re waterproof spec - it should be snowing not raining!!

ive always been happy with cheap items of clothing, breaathable factor is important, your base layers are more important, don't were cotton teashirts as they absorb sweat, then when your having lunch outside you get cold. spend good money on under garments that whisk sweat away

recco reflectors can be picked up by mountain rescue, if an avalanche lands on you!! but as you won't be skiing off piste (not marked runs and not ...

The basic rule is buy something windproof and water resistant as a low range. The likelihood of getting completely soaking wet is virtually zero, more likely if the temps drop you will appreciate feeling toasty... You also build up with layers, so the undergarments are as important as the suit. A good roll neck base shirt, in cotton (natural material, thermal if you want), a middle layer, this can be a jumper or fleece, and your jacket on top.. the middle layer can be removed and stuffed in ...

A good roll neck base shirt, in cotton (natural material, thermal if you want), a middle layer, this can be a jumper or fleece, and your jacket on top.. the middle layer can be removed and stuffed in your rucksack... Comfort should be a major concern, and what it looks like. You want to look good, nobody want to be a `plank', but there are limits (i know, i wear them, before anyone comments)... Recco's are a bit old hat now, most rescues are effected by tracking mobile phones via gps, so don't worry about them... Gloves are very important, spend on them, but a jacket/salopette/trouser combo can come together pretty cheaply. We just sorted out a mate here in Bansko, really nice `Geographical Norway' (Patagonia) pants with braces for 80lv (proper stuff, not rip-off) helmet 105lv, Rossi gloves 60lv (good gloves in sale) socks, and bits and pieces... all together was under £200.00, and it looks great. Black pants go with anything, even his lime green jacket Surprised
