why has my post been deleted

i requested some information on a email address for a local ski hire company.i wasnt selling or advertising.i just wanted to have my skis serviced and was recommend a local ski hire place in boro.
what are the rules of this forum?
some people for example type in a subject "snow conditions"and discuss what hotel they are staying in

Wasn't me - I hardly ever delete anything as people are just asking for advice and giving opinions. If it was from someone with business interests, then maybe that's why?!

i also had posts deleted the other day which critisied Bulgaria ski but not offensive.
