Don't look to good does it think about the poor sods out half way across with a few hundred feet drop.

We were in Les Deux Alpes that day! So much for Summer skiing in July! Luckily we managed to get off the glacier before they had real problems. Once it started to get really windy they closed the slopes as it was getting impossible to ski or even stand up at times, so we made for the Jandia Express. But it took a couple of hours to get down and people were being thrown against the side of the gondala when it started to swing badly. Quite a few people were sick!

One of the gondalas hit the pylon. The guys were in there for 4 hours before they were rescued by abseil.
The Jandi Express was out of action for a week after this accident. We had to use the 8 man chair lift instead.
Now I understand why they close the gondala in Borovets when it gets windy!
