Bulgaria Ski discussion board

I've just had a read through this mornings postings, and it strikes me that a lot of you are worried. The first time I went to Borovets I was worried too. The second time I was checking the posts on this board almost constantly for news of the conditions. Some of the forecasts were good, some bad. Some of the reports from people in the resort good, some bad.
I can only speak from my own experience, but looking at the amount of snow from webcam pictures and photos, Borovets will be business as usual.
As for trusting the snow forecasts, we were not expecting any snow before we arrived. We ended up with over 40cm falling the day before we got there.
I see this morning that there are now 4 pistes open, I would not be surprised to see the rest follow suit very soon.
Stop worrying. Enjoy your Christmas and new year, the snow

LOL Andy ! The drug I take is called "life" I intend to get as much of it as possible before I die. It's a curious drug, those that don't have a supply are constantly trying to disrupt the enjoyment of those that do. One of the reasons I enjoy skiing, is because all of a sudden you find yourself doing something that may threaten you supply of "life", only to survive, and then realise you've got loads more of it to come.
Stevio, the first time we went the conditions weren't perfect, and we still had a fantastic time. So much so, that we knew after a couple of days that skiing was going to be something we had to do every year. Hopefully (and I'm no meteorologist) the rain that is forecast will be falling as ice crystals, after all it is pretty cold up on top of the mountain.
