would you book for xmas

came back from bansko beginning march and loved it. Did anyone go to bulgaria last christmas, thinking about booking for xmas 2008, but do they get enough snow as early? (webcams look as though they did but snow histories on igluski would have you believe otherwise) Is it ski-able? Which resort for best snow fall? Have been looking at france or italy but its sooo expensive for ski packs etc. any suggestions would be appreciated, thanx

I would wait to the last minute - usually we get snow only from 20th Dec onwards, so you're risking it. This year was unusually early

i went on the 22nd to the 29th dec to pamps, its was fab snow !!!! book we have already.

go anywhere the week b4 christmas & it'll be a third of the price but you still get all the atmosphere & millons of crazy skiing father christmases

hi been to bulgaria on two xmas hol's first time great snow second time hardly any snow hardly skied,so it's a gamble really. also had the same happen in slovenia

thanx for the replies, ali totally agree with you, but I work in a school and cant get time off other than school holidays, and schools are tightening up on parents taking their kids out in school time. so its a no-goer. Its a gamble if I book, but if i leave it til last minute might not get availability, there's 14 of us altogether.... decisions decisions

Go for it.

We arrived one Christmas Eve, Boro, no snow at all in resort. Woke up in morning to half a metre - when it snows, it SNOWS big time. Great atmosphere.
