So many people have started to voice their opinion regarding eating lunch with their group at the Golden Eagle Pamporovo.
I discovered today by feedback on my own comments on this site being relayed to me that someone from 'pamporovo management has been reading the threads with interest.
So voice your comments, they are being heard. What do you think?
I think it goes further than the Golden Eagle. I do not have any problems with an instructor suggesting a place to stop for lunch, but when this comes to insisting where people eat then it becomes more like a boot camp with the instructor becoming something akin to a Sergeant Major rather than a friendly face.
As I said in a previous post, luch time on the slopes should be seen as an adventure and a chance to try different places each day, perhaps returning to your favourite ones late in ...

To try and capture the monopoly of the business is once again showing bully-boy tactics and gross mismanagement of the tourist industry in Pamporovo.
They already charge extorinate rents for people to run cafes on the slopes - then they take away the very business that they are trying to attract and above all they expect the gulible tourists to fall for it.
Personally if I were still in ski school I would only eat in the places that as a group we had democratically chosen.
as i said on a previous post.
we the tourist should decide were we eat not the ski school.
The instructors r being handcuffed to take you to the Golden Eagle r face the sack.it is not on.
This year when i visited on 16th Jan i chosed not to use ski school instruction mainly because of this issue.
The tourist in recession r looking for value for money.
i have experience big variations in prices for example hot chocolate and brandy in the Husky by the three man lift 5levs ...

i have experience big variations in prices for example hot chocolate and brandy in the Husky by the three man lift 5levs and in Peters bar 6levs and places like the golden eagle and spider 14-16 levs for the same product.
When people r travelling as families price is important not the lining of ski school pockets.for visitors to keep coming back prices and choice have to be right.
When i revisit on 20th Feb i will again not use ski school but will freeski because of this situation .so with regret the instructors lose out less people less tips
Hopefully someone will print these threads and the ones from my previous listing and hand them to George the Head of ski School
And to Gerry the Senior with Crystal/Thomsons/First Choice Depot
and to Nicky Senior with Panorama -Airtours Depot
and to Spaceman Senior with Balkan Tours Depot
and the Senior lady in the Balkan Holidays Depot.
Competition is healthy and as tourists we should be frequenting places that thrive on reputation and have been recommended by other holiday makers. This will ensure quality and value.
The more small and independant companies that start businesses in Pamporovo the better and we should try and use them in preference to the ones owned by the 'management'. Not just restaurants but also for ski hire, ski school etc.

I guess if you travel with a tour operator and take their ski package you will have little choice who you ski with but if you are going DIY you can choose. Although that deal with Crystal at £46 for the ski pack looks good, I'd rather pay the 110 euro's and give the business to Interski.
