Chalets are very warm and reasonable comfortable. The bunk room is only really suitable for children.

Do not go expecting to self cater as there really are not the facilities. The supermarkets are limited - will just about manage breakfast - we took tea, coffee, hot chocolate with us. Ate out every lunch time and evening. The restaurant at the Yagoda was good if eating off the menu - I wasn't overly impressed by the buffet for half board customers.

The reception staff were friendly but limited in English (we went there in 2003). Used the safe facilities and changed our money and always got a good rate.

The ladies will clean your room each day if you leave the card in your window to ask them to do it.

The Yagoda was a little out of town. The ski bus in the morning was great but we took taxis back in the evening after we had tea. In my opinion too far to walk with young children but we did see others doing it.

You will have a lovely time and a great first experience. In 2004 we stayed at The Alpin in town which we found suited us much better.

Hope this helps

Hi I stayed there christmas 2005 and had a great time. Its about 5 mins from the centre of boro by bus which is free from the yagoda village. The chalets are basic but warm and comfortable, the kitchen is next to useless but there is a resteraunt on site which serve ok food very cheap. It can become a bit tiresome heading back into town at night after a hard days skiing with kids so staying on site was ok as you could get a meal. The sauna in the chalets is great but takes about a hour to get up ...
