Im going with the g'friend on 1st March staying in Samokov for the week. Shes a total beginner, im intermediate. Would love to meet up with a few other intermediates to do a few runs. Couldnt be bothered with lessons. Friend was there that week last year said conditions were best ever. Cant wait! See you all there!

I hope to be heading out myself on the 1st March.
I’ve left it a bit late to book, and am hoping for a last minute deal.
Have stayed at the Samokov, Ela, Mura & Iglika in the past, but I’m not too fussy as long as it is central. I hated the “long” walk to the Iglika after a hard days skiing…

I'll be there too with the boyfriend (total beginner)and my son (15 skies and boards dangerously well for a beginner) my daughter (7 and a total beginner) and I've skied before but spent a week sulking cause my son showed me up!!
I hope to bump into some other families so the kids can socialize and leave the adult to their drinking!!!
My family loves music. Are there any bars with live music or that play proper (rock) music or is it all chart, pop and dance?

I don't think that modern music has really caught up. Marmacetas has life music, and the black tiger is quite rocky, - well I know most of the words anyway.

I've booked today. 4 of us 2 couples, first time skiing for all of us. So excited. We are staying away from the centre though in the Lion Hotel.

Didn't get the list written, will attempt again tomorrow. New boots have given me a blood blister on the heel. Boots 1, Caro 0.
Also need paracetamol, glitter writing pens and Tanjettes t-shirt.
Is there a laundrette in Boro, I think there might be some stuff that needs a wash at the end of week 1.

TD- rememberf when I said I not a goth? Well I been going through my stuff to take and everything is black...I'm soooo depressed (God I'm starting to act like one) . I don't understand how this has happened. Even my snow boots are actually biker boots with a zillion buckles!

I can also safetly say it will be quite chilly and very drafty in that get up! I'd have to very drunk. I'll bring my fishnets and wear it to the club ....maybe!

I'm going out on the 1st of march to, will be boarding (intermediate boarder). I'm on my own, so hope to meet loads of new people. Can't wait, any of you guys and girls flying from Gatwick on the 1st at 1030am?

Went to boro quite a few years ago and this time going solo - got a deal in the Igilka P. i know its not rila std but dont mind roughing it if need be.
ARRIVING 1st March
Now do i pack my snow gear or wet weather gear and put wheels on the skis - lol should be fine. can't wait!!!

Just come back from Borovets 20/1/08, first time skiing EVER and was totally crap but instructor said it was the best conditions for a long time. Yes it was going a bit brown on the Weds but the sun was shining and the gondola was open up to the top for the first time since we got there and those who knew what they were doing were having a fantastic time.
Spent most of our time drinking hot chocolate and brandy but am determined to do it again once the bruises and muscle cramps go, does anyone know how long that takes!!!

Thanks for the snow report! and as for the medical condition................well the cramps are caused by drinking to many hot toddys and the bruises are caused when you get pissed on the toddys, fall over and cant remember or when you are trying to pull your suitcase of the conveyor.
Skiing - Oh the life! should be back to normal in a day or too!!!

THAT's where I went wrong!! Note to self, stay off hot toddys and concentrate on learning how to ski!! Tried to perfect snow plough, succeeded in nearly breaking ankles....twice!
Seriously though, had a great time, hoping to go back next year but need to get fitter first

just checked flight from dublin, british midlands, actually seems that will be in boro by around teatime so will head for titanic and see everyone there - am hoping to meet up with some others (intermediate skiier) as im going with the g'friend and shes in beginners class and the gang I was meant to go with originally pulled out and I dont wanna go into ski classes again :-( so bibblybob markymark pete et all see yas all there - cmon the snowWW!
