Hi All
First I hope you dont mind if i post I am not a owmer but was a guest last week.
Book an a apartment 214 (3 Bed) direct off of the net for 9 Days. I thought you would like
some feed back from a paying customer.
The service and manner of the staff was super, helpfull and attentive and the cleaning and upkeep
seemed spot on. But and it is a big but. The info displayed is far from correct with relation to the
Ski Bus: I talked & met nearly 20 english guest (independant & Operators) most begginers needed
a bus a least towards the start of the week,before they could master Green 7 back to the castle.
The board states the bus runs 3 times in the morning around 9 0/c can not remember times.
This was not the case so new arrivals waited, only to be told that the bus had gone! & in fact only
one bus was available so they must get Taxis! 15 Levi.
I will say the snow coniditions were nasty so all concerened got taxis with out complaint this happened twice to me,
I have to add after this the recptionist was super after that she made or arranged the pick up bus to come in to
recption and let us know when he arrived as the first two days he said he was at the car park but never arrived ( I Waited).
We the knew there was only 1 bus and so the begginers in the group were ready. Problem solved for us.
but not for the incoming guest, a simple change to their sign could have changed our first two days travel to the slopes for us
& every hoilday maker this season so much easyer.
As for the bus coming back this was an utter JOKE!! in fact so much so most other skiers said they would
not come back to the Castle. During my time a section of our party booked tickets at reception for the return
journey we waited at the White Dog (outside) and asked every Bus Coach any thing with 4 wheels from 3:30
to 4:45 even rang the Castle to ask where it was! They said it had waited and gone!!! This happend to us 3 times
after this we just used a taxi when needed. This effected almost all the guests in some way.
I bring this up because as a owner I would assume you can ski so will never be aware, but as an owner who rents
it will & has had a major effect on your return bookings.
I must add to this now all our party can ski the green run we will rebook for next year & recomend others
(but not complete begginers) to the castle.
I will still book again for next year and so am happy to get emails for apartments.

Many thanks Ian for the update. It's always good to hear some feedback regarding the rental situation at the castle.
You stayed next door to my apartment.......could do with a lift there, ay?
I'm out there in April so i'll speak with reception about the bus problem.
Personally, I always walk up the hill to the first ski station. Sort of wakes me up in the morning.
Thanks again mate and I'll endeavour to ruffle a few feathers as we do rely on repeat custom.
Hope you enjoyed the skiing when you finally hit the slopes.

Great to know you like the place and the staff!!
Could you just clarify for us owners - the bus you are talking about, is it a Pamporovo Ski bus or the mini bus that is owned by the Castle? The castle bus has castle graphics all over it. The pamporovo bus looks like the big coaches down at ski centre.
This is important to know because if it is the Pamporovo bus it is a diffrent issue and something we will need to discuss with Pamporovo resort!

Hi all
Managed to get the bus twice on both times just a white transet type van 8/9 seater, not sign writen. Also would like to add I think this is a top complex (apart from the bus). To little owl, well all I can say I didnt nip down to the bar!! But HeHo Super Ski holls was had by all & at the end of the day. Thats what matters.
will return next year.

PSP, there are no ski buses provided by Pamporovo AD any more - they sold them all off and now all buses are to be provided by individual complexes.
Looking forward to meeting up with you next week if poss ? |
