Today is snow all the way, sketchy driving in very slippery conditions, 3 hours plus to do it safely, or 2 hours if you want to end up in a ditch (and many have...) |

Took 4hrs this morning as roads were all covered in snow, ice, compacted snow and stupid drivers who do not know how to drive in these conditions. On the way home all good as roads had pretty much been cleared. The only sketchy part was Predel but the ploughs and gritters were going over and back again as I was climbing up and descending.
Think will be very very icy in the morning when I leave at 7ish could be interesting. |

Any queuing for the Gondola around 10 am Marky J, getting the kids up and ready for 8 is sometimes a dramatic event !! And with the beer prices as they are the late nights are imminent !   |

Drive today very very interesting...... Snow all the way. Blizzard at the top of E79 near Pernik all the way to the top of Sofia. snow all the way to the airport. Better again on way back but Predel again very testing. I have to go again at 1am so i am hoping when Steve gets back in the next hour or so he will say it is a lot better up there now. Its still snowing though so should be another interesting drive in the middle of the night again...... Ah well its what we do !!!! |

Really dont envy you both in these conditions absolutely terrible conditions out there now on the roads, even had a pile up of 2 cars and 2 vans at the road that leads up to Pirin golf this afternoon. Got to make the dreaded trip myself on thursday... still summat to tell the grand kids about!!! |
