** Any positive stories?**

People are entitled to their opinion. If you book a "budget" ski holiday there are some things you have to expect, and accept. The resorts arent going to be as big., the runs not as long .Some of the hotels arent going to be luxurious and some of the staff may not have great english. i know, imagine going to bulgaria and the native indigenous people didnt speak english. Unbelievable.

Anyway been a couple of times, had a great time And the great thing for me , there were no horray henry's ...

Got back from Pamps on Saturday and absolutely loved it - you cannot get a better weeks holiday for your money! Will be going back to Bulgaria next year - may try Bansko or Boro instead though.

Skiing Borovets,
Met up with a couple of English people who I have never met before and the last couple of days I have taken them off piste with powder up to our thighs. There comments were that they have never had better skiing, even after skiing the usual french and Austrian resorts etc.The skiing at present, after all the new snow, is unbelievable.
My newly made friends will definately be back next year.
Fiona. Very Happy

Lets all be practical about this not everybody is going to like Bulgaria and everybody is entitled to thier opinion that's what forums are all about.

Already booked to go back to Bansko for FEb 07 hlf term family of 4 £2900 cheapest French / austrian resort with the same comparisons ie hotel ski packs etc £4500 before you start taking into consideration prices in resort.

Managed to convince a dozen of our friends to come with us!!And they will not be disappointed!

Here's to Bansko ...

I had an absolutely amazing time! Everyone i met was lovely - locals and other holiday goers. Wasnt expecting a lavish hotel because quite frankly i dont go on holiday to stay in the hotel - a bed and a bathroom is good enough!!

I think some people take star ratings to be what they are in the uk and so are often disappointed when they realise the hotels can be basic.

As for food - some things were a bit strange but you're in a foreign country get over it!!

I never had any trouble ...
