Money - Lev / Euro + the exchange rate

Curious as to which to go for?

Lev or Euro? Is the Euro widely accepted in Boro?

Which has the better exchange rate?

Is it better to get your money in the resort or in the UK?

thanks in advance

We didn't find anywhere that took Euros.

Easy to change (commission free) in resort and at better rates than the UK high street.

Hope this helps.

I think there is only one place in Boro that accepts Euro and that is the chinese restaurant !!! Better to change your money here in Bulgaria and even better to change down in the town of Samokov rather than the resort or even at Sofia airport. We always used to change our money up at the change bureau in the airport before we set off for our house.

Hi all

On the subject of money, how much sterling do you think me and the wife should take with us for a week? We like to drink and eat out a lot but are past the clubbing side of things.

This is our first time ever skiing so it will be a new experience for us.

Blimey, that's more than I expected to be honest. Essentially that's £100 a day x 6 then. Good job I had a frugal Christmas!

lev simple as that. Euro in bulgaria is like taking euro to the uk to an extent. At the mo anyway.
