re: My 2007 Holiday Report

No bars in Bansko???? I found plenty that were selling beer at 45p-50p a pint and I also managed to stay away from that bars that attract the drunken Brits that charged treble that price.
I thought there was loads for kids to do, ten pin bowling, bum boarding, skidoo's, pop quiz, great leisure facilities in most hotels and an ice rink on its way, I would say there is more for kids in Bansko that most towns in the UK.

You could store your ski boots at the Gondala, we did it cost us 15 Lev for the week, there was also a free option with our ski hire but it did look as secure.
Yes the building work does look unsightly but I did come on a sightseeing holiday.
Is Bansko value for money? Yes and I'll be going back next year after six days of great skiing and mostly good snow.

This is a ski holiday for goodness sake - ski all day - early dinner - put them to bed early in order to get up early next day for more skiiing! If you want wall to wall activities there's always Disney theme parks

re: My 2007 Holiday Report

Hi,

I can't comment on anywhere but Bansko, but I was able to store my own ski's and boots at the gondola for 25 lev for the week. When the racing was over we also did not have to queue for the gondola, and the wait for the other chair lift was only a few minutes. It was dissapointing that due to weather, bomb scare's etc that we missed a few day's skiing, unfortunately we have no control over these thing's and I think it was just bad luck going that particular week. Would I go again? ...

Would I go again? Yes, Definitely!! if you ignore the building work, there are plenty of places to drink & eat very cheaply, and I hope that in a few years when everything is finished it will become or stay as popular as it once was.

re: My 2007 Holiday Report

Wow can open worms everywhere!! Hi mate welcome home. Must say I was left with the same feeling about Pamps last year, just could not put my finger on it! The Murgavets standards have slipped I noticed a couple of years back, this is very sad as that breakfast was always good as was the service when I first went in 98. I was left feeling that they just needed a kick up the Bumski in the restaurant. Very Happy
