Whilst all this work is going on is there anyway we can request for the chair lift on the Rila side to be slowed down when it reaches the top!! I fear for my like every time i try and leave the lift

Use the Gondola instead.You want have any problems

Pay at the start extra cash in hand and ask them to ring the top attendant and he will slow don't the speed so you can drop down nicely then that is If you really have to go that way
or again use the gondola -go higher have a brill views-venture into Mussala Hut and beyond (maybe) into the Ice lake or even Mussala peak 2925m and you can call yourself the proud conquerer of the highest Peak in the South East.
How nice that can be ?

It was nice on the peak, and to have English tea available, as well as the 'kleck' concoction was equally nice

I do love it at the top of the gondola, though i didn't go to the hut or the lake! Maybe next year i will visit.

I like to try all the slopes including the rila side, the chair lift scares the hell out of me though
