Its not looking too great over BG for the next 7 to 10 days.
Firstly, to try and predict weather 10 days in advance is very unpredicable to be accurate!
We can be fairly confident that temperatures at 1700m ASL are going to be above freezing until around the 2nd or 3rd Jan before they start to lower. During this time, little or no rain or snow :-(
After the 2nd/3rd, things start to get a little unsettled and we could start to see some snow but its too early to tell ...
Hi everyone,
Its not looking too great over BG for the next 7 to 10 days.
Firstly, to try and predict weather 10 days in advance is very unpredicable to be accurate!
We can be fairly confident that temperatures at 1700m ASL are going to be above freezing until around the 2nd or 3rd Jan before they start to lower. During this time, little or no rain or snow :-(
After the 2nd/3rd, things start to get a little unsettled and we could start to see some snow but its too early to tell.
Sorry to be doom and gloom, but better to be in the know.
Actually the forecasts change daily or more so 'fair cop' to the new 'askers!' LOL
Yesterday there was no snow forecast from 1st to 6th - this morning there's 22cm predicted - tune in this afternoon for new details!
Mark iow, I know what you mean. It would seem that everyone wants to believe the likes of snow-forecast.com and j2ski.com etc instead. Whatever makes them happy I suppose. In previous years when I used to provide weather updates i used to get just as frustrated as you are which is why I have all but given up.
Please keep the updates coming - there are lots of us who'd rather get the truth from the guys in the know rather than the rubbish on the j2ski websites etc. I'm over on the 2nd so just keeping fingers crossed
Not everyone reads every single post on here. Some people have other things to do! That said, there's nothing any of us can do except watch and wait! The will there/won't there be snow adds to the build up of my holiday. If I wanted guarantees I'd pay more and go Alpine, or work allowing, go in March!
