People keep saying the lack of snow is due to Global Warming, which isn'tthe case!Its said that there is a cycle every 17 years, this being it so the weather isn't as good!!!
Next year it will be back to normal and no worry about snow trust me :-)

The prices are still cheaper than most alpine resorts, and I've never met an ignorant local in Bulgaria yet - just ignorant tourists!!! ( and NO I haven't got an apartment in Bansko)re: 17year Cycle...

Wow Sarah. Very bold claim. So this winter been the warmest since records is due to a 17 year cycle. Sounds simalar to the 9, 11, 15, 6,4 and 22 year cycle to me.Wouldn't it be great if you were correct eh.

I went skiing in Austria in 1972 - ( I was only 8 at the time, I hasten to add!) not a flurry of snow all week and nothing to ski on. Very dissapointing holiday but just shows that this lack of snow isn't a new thing! At least these days we have snow cannon!re: 17year Cycle...
