Last minute booking is a no go for us, I would'nt mind finding out more about renting acccomodation please feel free to e-mail me if you want, anybody and any resort
i stayed in a catered chalet in Soldeu el tarter in Andorra this year. Flights, transfers, accomodation, breakfast, 3 course dinner with wine, lift passes, rent of board and lessons for €600!!!! cant beat that! that was for the first week in March.
there was 6 of us travelling
TonyCott if u cant book last minute and are after good but reasonably priced skiing, Book in advance with one of the low cost airlines to Italy, should be able to get flights for under 50stg rtn all in, stay in any of the 400 Italian ski areas, some of the less well known resorts are v cheap, coffee, glass of wine etc 1 euro. A lot of the skiing is at med to hi altitude, this year some of the Italian resorts have 5m of snow (at top).
Hotels half board are approx euro60 ppn.
prices fall from the middle of march..for lifts etc - and there is always snow at the top of the gondola in borovets till mid april - hotel prices for this year are 55lv a night for the rila breakfast and dinner...
Why take a chance on pamps. I'd never advance book in a resort with a dodgey snow record. Apart from that, the packages may be cheap but i've read a lot of complaints regarding ripoff prices- taxis, food drinks etc so pamps wouldn't be any cheaper than other bulgarian resorts where you'll be more likely to find decent snow conditions.
