re: 2nd Feb

Looking at that link (I think) it's showing temps of 10 degrees during week we're there. Who knows...

Snow forecast is showing it getting cooler. Even the Met office ant forecast today. Let alone 3 weeks away. I'd guess the usual temps for early feb at resort level must be around freezing.

I'm hoping the relative silence from Mark IOW means good news...

What's that old expression?

No news is good news.

Snow forecast.com shows gradual cooling off and a moderate fall of snow towards end of the week.

Snow

Yep. Lol.

Haha. Snow forecast is usually pretty good. Anyhow... Who normally takes their own gear? Or do you use rental skis? Good to have own boots but will only take own skis if the temps stay cool and the snow comes...

re: 2nd Feb

Always hire skis but have own boots and bought her indoors her own before this trip. That's enough to carry without skis.

^^^^ I do love the way you refer to your wife! Cheeky S**t. Razz

I am really hoping my own boots make all the difference Question

Praying this years ski class will be a little more adventureous otherwise i might have to resort to spiking their drinks with a few local shots Booze.....hehe.

Samokov ski school 2 years ago had a fantastic instructor - Julian....anyone else had the pleasure of meeting him? Or recommend any other great ski instructors?

Haha. Silver fox. That's told you. Lol.
Not used samokov ski school before. 3 years of BoroSport. Had same instructor last two years and may get same again this year. Danny. He's a good lad and taught us plenty.

My wife (not her indoors, obviously!) has had two weeks holiday not three. But probably wasted half her first week. However her pals aren't coming this year so she's on her own. Blues and venturing to reds for her then!!

re: 2nd Feb

wahay if my ski school is rubbish i may just tag along with her and hope for the best Razz

My strategy for this year is to drink a few bailey hot chocs at lunch and completely lose my fear. I over thought alot the first time.

where are you staying paul? (aka second silver fox)....I might just have to bring two sets of brown hair dye, when you are both least expecting it..... splash :-)

Shouldn't be allowed hijacking out thread like that.
