2nd time = intermediate?

Hello all,
I am after a bit of advice re skiing lessons. My boyfriend and I are going back to Borovets in February. I learnt to ski there in 2006, in the beginners class. My boyf had skied twice before and joined the intermediate group. My question really is will I now be considered intermediate or still a beginner? I suppose it will be down to how confident I am. I was able to do quite well by the end of the week. I don't really want to spend the first couple of days on the nursery slopes ...
Hello all,
I am after a bit of advice re skiing lessons. I don't really want to spend the first couple of days on the nursery slopes again!!
We have not skied since Feb 2006 and in that time my boyfriend had quite a bad ankle and foot fracture. He is now fine, able to run etc. but I think he is wondering if he should go intermediate again or try advanced group, if such a thing exists?!
I hope all this makes sense, I would be grateful for any of your pearls of wisdom.
Thanks
Emz

re: 2nd time = intermediate?

Emz you are certainly not a beginner mate. As Sam said they will decide what group msuits your ability.

re: 2nd time = intermediate?

I think we are confusing the term beginner here. Emz in terms of skiing you are indeed still at the begining but you should not go into a learn to ski group. Very Happy

re: 2nd time = intermediate?

its impossible for others to know if they havent seen you ski. You know yourself best, so if you think its a waste of time and money to be in a beginner class, well then you are probaly right. Just dont move up a class to fast, cause it will be even worse to be in a group you are not good enough for.

re: 2nd time = intermediate?

Best advice is to get yourself to one of the indoor ski slopes in the uk before you go. that will get rid of the cobwebs and then you will be able to answer the question yourself. It will also save you a day in the resort finding your feet

Cheers
