So what are your views on the approaching events : Pope's funeral, Royal Wedding, Grand National and Election. Here are mine.
Funeral - not in favour of catholic religeon at all. May he rest in peace.
Wedding - Charles should have married Camilla in the first place and saved Diana all that grief. Perhaps she would have been alive today.
Grand National - Now you're talking. Love horses
Election - Please don't let that grinning idiot in for a third term. Pleeease.

Don't forget, there's now the funeral for Prince Ranier who sadly died this morning...Funeral... I'm glad they've let him go in peace, I sort of feel sorry for the successor, a very hard act to follow
Wedding... which one, the royal one, the one in Balamory or the one in Corrie
Grand National... never bet on a horse race in my life.
Election... definitely agree with Val, lets get rid of that idiot now, whilst we can...

Not a betting person either Judith but like to see the power of the horse. I have done a bit of riding myself and find it almost as exhilirating as skiing.Val

Ok the events:
pope - curious about the new one: Italian or a colored one I think
wedding - If he wasn't married with Diana then we had never know her
horse - don't know it
elections - Does everyone has to vote? Or can you deside not to vote..

TanIn the UK you don't have to vote, and they are expecting the turnout to be less than 40% because many people don't like the choices.
Do you have compulsory voting in Belgium

The Grand National is the biggest race over jumps in the UK. It is a long race and the jumps have huge spreads. There is always controversy about it. I personally think it is not cruel and the right horse will do it but sadly some horses don't make it.We don't have to vote in the election. We are sent polling cards and it is our choice whether we use them or not. I always vote though because back in history people fought hard for women to get the vote and I think it is important to use it.

Yes Judith..They just give some people who didn't show up or refuse to sit there some nice fees of more then 250 euro - 1000 euro. Decision with the court!
I hate it..mostly first I read all the names and then choose one, a woman naturally.

Yep.Sad to hear of the deaths but there are lots of suffering people in the world who are still alive and need our help now.
The weding. Who cares. If his uncle could not be king neither should he. They're just a tourist attration.
Grand national. Camilla's on a tight schedule.
Election. Maybe better the devil you know. If he goes what muppet will replace him.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not BLIAR again, if he gets in we will all get screwed!! I dont care what he says hes going to cost all loads of money. The Pope had a good innings...........in a modern age im not at all keen on a lot of his/cathjolic church beliefs, he did a lot of harm as well as a lot of good, and i have to agree with Kiwi shes got one hell of a tight schedule, is this why theyve had to put the National back 25 mins????
