4 Sleeps to go then Bansko

Hi arriving 7am in Bansko this Sat morning. Seen forecasts that it will be snowing Tuesday until Sat (6 day forecast) and that there is an 18cm dump expected on Friday night with most other days a healthy 4-6cm of fresh snow.

Just arrived back and the snow was good on the upper slopes (ski school and beyond). No snow in the village and you can't get right down on the ski road but can ski half of the road. It snowed most nights from about 3pm onwards. Enjoy

How much was the Ski school + lift pass + ski hire we will book for 6 days.

Noticed that this site has been VERY quite recntly... whats goin on? I guess maybe that will mean empty slopes for me to ski on Fantastic+.

The season is over, the skis have been packed and no-one is interested in winter holidays.

However, no-one told God, who deems it in His wisdom to bless us with some of the best snow of the winter and more to come. Bansko is empty and many of the bars are closed, but the pistes are firm and proud. Off piste is a bit packed, but that's OK because we have another 20 cms coming between now and next week. I can barely contain my water.

A week on perfect snow with abandoned pistes will do that to a man.

Amnesia is closed - at least it was last night, but it might be open on the weekend. The Happy End will be open but you'll probably be the only person there.

Will it be similar to Aug?

I guess it could be lonely however we are going as two couples and I also guess with Ski school we may effectively have private group lessons for the normal price... fantastic.
