6 day lift pass now only worth 3 days?

I posted a note earlier today regarding closure of Gondola and Bulgarian national holiday during week commencing 25th Feb making the slopes very busy and I cannot seem to find it to find out if any body has responded allaying my fears...someone has said that they have seen a posting replying confirming the above facts which is very worrying for our particular group going to Borovets on 25th Feb...

Went last year over the holidays and only came across one busy lift, the four man chair on the mountain was crowded with locals, but a hike over to the Gondola and we were fine. The Rila slopes are usually unaffected.

To be absolutely honest, you probably won't notice anything other than a lot of red and white string and some happy faces ... it's a lovely public holiday and you're lucky to be out there while it's happening. There are plenty of slopes to go around, even when the gondola ...

There are plenty of slopes to go around, even when the gondola goes off. I've been there a few times when it's gone off, or been restricted to the mid point, and haven't bothered about it much ... plenty of runs to enjoy.

What I WILL warn you about is that, (I think) the ATM machines in the resort are closed over the holiday, so make sure you have enough money on you. Last year they were both closed for a day on the 1st.

re: 6 day lift pass now only worth 3 days?

Don't panic, when the gondola is shut on monday allthe chair lifts on the other slopes will be open. Do the gondola slopes on sunday and the others on monday. Regarding the national holiday on friday, we went last year and I found that by friday lots of people had stopped skiing as they wanted to spend the last day drinking, eating or shopping or were too worn out (or injured) so the runs weren't busy so extra people celebrating their bank holiday shouldn't be a problem. It is their country ...

It is their country after all! We're also going on 25th and looking forward to a great time again. Hope you enjoy it.

I am beginning to wonder the adminstators of this site police postings and remove those that do not conform to the upbeat genre that this site seems to pervade?
