A change in attitude ... does it happen to us all?

This is the first time I've really thought about this holiday ... haven't looked at the snowboard since last year, not even sure it'll get a wax and edges before being shipped out.(won't matter if snow is excellent!) Defo haven't done any snowboard exercises, only just looked at the snow report ... this used to be my 'thing' alongside bikes and I'd do 2 board holidays a year ... the bike has been sat in the shed with a fooked battery for god knows how long and the house refurb has taken ...

Is this what turning 40 is all about?

Errrrrr NOOOOOO!

I learnt to ski on mine and my friends' 40th Birthday holiday, it was the best holiday of my life!

Since then my husband has learnt to ski and we've been twice a year ever since, Boro probably about 8 times!!!

But....when I did get to 40 I started to knock years off rather than add them on, i'm only 34 now Razz

re:A change in attitude ... does it happen to us all?

WTF are you mad! After many years of missing out for one or other reason I only learned to ski at 39 and I'm now 52. Between the age of 39 and 52 I started a second family and now my partner and young son, stepsons and my daughter from the previous marriage all ski. I'm not sure I'm getting younger like Hilly but skiing has become an important part of our lives rather than the other way

Hi dbut, you forgot to say not any old hip, a special sports hip to be able to ski hard and wop those whippersnappers.
