A question for PP

Hi! just wondering if you have ever stayed in the Orlovets or heard any reports of what it's like, and also (ignoring last year) is the beginning of March a bit late to be going for good snow conditions.

re: A question for PP

Not stayed their yet Princess, but did look it over quiet extensively last year and plan to stay there next year. Have only heard good reports on it and apparently the food is first class.

Early March is certainly not too late and I will be off to Borovets on 8th March myself this year. Apart from 2007, March has an excellent snow record for all resorts in Bulgaria.

Thanks! We went to Bansko this year & loved it, but we were staying at the Kempinski, and I wouldn't go to Bansko unless I stayed there again which is what we planned to do. However having been back all of 2 weeks I have been reading brochures for next year & have realised for a few hundred pounds more than we would pay for one week in the Kempinski we can go to Austria for a week and Pamporovo for a week.

the more skiing the better.every day on the snow slopes counts not on the mattress in the room

kempinski is a fab hotel, but I would rather have a few holidays than one there.

re: A question for PP

Hi I know this message is for Pete but I have stayed at the Orlovetz for the last 2 yrs and think it is fab. It is a very modern hotel and the food is better than the other hotels I have stayed in .....they even have hot food waiting when you arrive near midnight on the Saturday which is great. Rooms are a good size and the bathroom in particular the deep roomy bath is to die for after a hard day on the slopes. I have no hesitation in recommending what I consider the best hotel in the centre ...

re: A question for PP

Yeah thanks Donna, it looks as though our minds are made up, one week in Austria and one week in Pamp at the Orlovets.
I agree Sam 2 hols is better than 1, and Mikey the 2 we can book for a few hundred pound more than 1 week in the Kempinski are both decent hotels, so whilst I agree it's the snow time not the mattress, we will be getting good beds and 2 weeks boarding.
