Hit and miss is the order of the day these days in BG .
Snow is retreaving fast from lower slopes.slush is the norm and places already started to close the season which by the way was a record one as far as the snow cover was concerned.
If you want snowy and sunny days (without the RAIN head towards the highest places in Europe( Val Thorens, Tignes, Cervinia, Obergugl, St Anton, Stubai glacier etc)

I just came back last weekend from few days again in Borovets where the snow was good up until 12ish and then slush was the order of the day.
At least for about 2 hours the night skiing added few more reasonable hours.
Lift passes are not cheap for what it is in Bulgaria.
For me this season (still twice more to go France and Austria) was the best I remember(not only me but even my parents so 60-70 years best).
3 times Bulgaria I have done this winter and total will be 8 times Europe.
I have saved massively this season because there was no need to go all the way to America for powder fix when at your door step there is the same so 11times will fill my memory book and that way the summer won't be so bad.
What a cracking season !
Going to Val Thorens now with my folks for good, Mega cheap spring skiing and down the lakes Lac du Bourget, lac d'Annecy and Chevelu for water sports.
On the lower valley lakes where the temps are into 20's the water skiing season starts now(with thermal wet suits of course)
Green valleys, hot nights white peaks and perfect skiing on the higher resorts.
Ideal.

No, I'm not from Gloucestershire - I'm from Melbourne Australia!
Thanks for the replies regarding the season - I was put onto some very good deals at the end of the season in L'Espace Killy, Les Boisses, Tignes, France. So I think I might be heading there.
Thanks for all your help - and hopefully I'll be back soon!
