Jonah,
Using the world class in my previous post was maybe ill judged because taking about class opens up a whole can of worms so to speak. So I'll rephrase the following
'People who are not expecting the Alpes and not expecting a resort geared UP to the tastes and sensitivities of the affluent middle classes might enjoy the place. I thought it was ok, the things I enjoyed outweighed the negatives.'
and say
'people who expect as a minimum a level of skiing and service equal to at least the some of the best Alpine resorts maybe disappointed by what Borovets has to offer unless they are prepared to be positive with less than optimal conditions.'
Before I went, like you I read far more negative accounts than positive and still do. Now that I've been I try to empathise with those who say the place is cr&p trying to understand why they say that.
