I know that the summer flights were cancelled- are the winter flights from Dublin cancelled to ? on there website they say flights will resume on Oct 22 09?
Have also spoken directly to Aer Lingus. No flights to Sofia after 22nd October. Route has been cancelled. Also spoke to Malev Airlines. They had an interconnecting flight from Dulin to Budapest then Sofia. This route has also been cancelled and Malev have since pulled out of Dublin Airport.
Going to be a very difficult year. Certain airlines that now have the market to themselves in Ireland will again pass on a massive price hike.

Air France Dublin-Paris-Sofia, Lufthansa Dublin-Frankfurt-Sofia; a bit more expensive than Aer Lingus direct were and of course a lot more inconvenient. Have also found that some of the tour operators that do "package" ski holidays have direct flights into Plovdiv from Dublin - some will, and some won't, do flight only.
