Hello, are there any other people out there annoyed with the news of the direct flight from dublin to sofia being cancelled.

Have also spoken directly to Aer Lingus. No flights to Sofia after 22nd October. Route has been cancelled. Also spoke to Malev Airlines. They had an interconnecting flight from Dulin to Budapest then Sofia. This route has also been cancelled and Malev have since pulled out of Dublin Airport.Going to be a very difficult year. Certain airlines that now have the market to themselves in Ireland will again pass on a massive price hike.

Austrian Airlines will have chartes from Dublin to Vienna this winter and after that 4 flight per day from Vienna to Sofia. Hope this info will helpre: Aer-Lingus route cancelled??
www.tripadvisor.com and other flight websites are showing up some relatively OK connections eg. Air France Dublin-Paris-Sofia, Lufthansa Dublin-Frankfurt-Sofia; a bit more expensive than Aer Lingus direct were and of course a lot more inconvenient. Have also found that some of the tour operators that do "package" ski holidays have direct flights into Plovdiv from Dublin - some will, and some won't, do flight only. Have not found any of this on the web, you need to contact them directly, eg. ...
