Bulgarian ski resorts, where do you start. In Bansko the ski passes are overpriced the staff are rude, the slopes are over crowded and the building work is over the top. The mountan can't deal with the influx of hotels and it it looks and sounds like a spanish costa....full of drunk overbearing brits who have bought cheap property and are dragging what was once a real gem down to the gutter.

It is full of people who have skied once and think they longer need an instructor and so block up the slpes and create hazards by not being in control. The peopl ein charge do nothing to ensure the saftey of these halfwits or others and the whole place is a complete shambles driven by greed and drunk idiot brits.
I agree in part about the over crowding and building work, and have regularly read about drunk brits etc on this forum. I have been to Bansko for last 3 seasons, and i suppose i am one of the so called greedy brits by investing in the place.
I can say though, having gone with a group of male friends everytime, we have gone for the skiing and also for the apres ski, we have never seen any evidence of drunken brits and never seen a bit of trouble. So anyone reading the forum who has never ...

Please note i am not saying this to try and get tourist through my rental door, i have already realised that i will never cover my running costs because of the oversupply. But i will still still enjoy ...

Please note i am not saying this to try and get tourist through my rental door, i have already realised that i will never cover my running costs because of the oversupply. But i will still still enjoy many ski holidays there. For an affordable skiing holiday i think many would agree!
The number of people you meet on the pistes with absolutely no idea how to ski is, I agree, quite shocking. frankly I'm surprised there are not more accidents/fatalities.
just pure luck.
God is looking down and protecting BG resorts.
Why you people are trying to protect the same place?
Don't waste you time!
