Been here since Saturday and my first time in bg for sking, group of 8. Me and a pal are intermediate, our 40 something girlfriends, 2 teenage girls and 2 8yo boys who are all 1st time skiers. If you are coming out shortly it is skiable at the mo and as long as temps stay low should remain skiable. Not many runs open and we skied them all at least once on the first day. The non skiers are enjoying ski school with Greorge who is very good and has the patience of a saint. I am worried what to do with them later in the week as there are no easy blues to take them on. The bits of blue that are open turn into icy reds snd would not like to take them down these. I am sure it would be fine if there was some decent snow but this is the same at any ski resort in the world.
Samokov hotel is a bit dated but clean and freindly and have to agree with people food is awful.Cheap to eat out so it deos'nt matter, it is a budget holiday, the locals are friendly and helpful and we are enjoying it. No point in moaning about the snow its noboby fault up here!
All in all Borovets....It does what it says on the tin
I went to Boro last June and the skiing was crap too..........
Not sure why you bother to come on here to moan, maybe I'm lucky have only been once Feb last year and we had loads of snow and really enjoyed the skiing and the social side of it maybe its best you just give this forum a miss
