My family and I, went to Arinsal over New Year last year. Found it good and entertaining from a family perspective. The skiing wasn't challenging though. However, and despite a lack of snow, the resort pulled out all the stops to provide as much artificial snow as possible. The resort was good for children, my 7 year old certainly benefitted from good tuition. Clearly there was a lot more slopes that could have been tackled, had the snow been there in sufficient quantities. I believe ...

Clearly there was a lot more slopes that could have been tackled, had the snow been there in sufficient quantities. I believe though that most european resorts suffered the same plight last year. I for one, am off to Borovets this year, for the first time and really looking forward. Keep up the good sources of info on this site, it certainly helps.
got across to pas de casa but to be honest i found it to be to tracked out and the lift ques were very large. But the nightlife looked like it could be good fun.
i would go back to andorra but defo not pas de casa it all depends what you want.....soldeu/el tarter for me where the best resorts with not much of a lift ques.
all in all i`d say andorra is a good platform to start you`re skiing/snowboarding experience off.
Went to Andorra 2 years ago, styed in Pal - Arinsal resort.
Great place, great craic, great runs, great people, great food and nightlife etc. Overall a really really enjoyable experience.
Went to Pamps in Bulgaria last year, what a kip ! travelled from Ireland with 10 buddies, not 1 of us enjoyed the place, The Hotel Orlevets where we stayed was probably the best part of the holiday.

Piste wasent too bad just very crowded, The actual place seemed dirty and run down, nightlife was very very poor, not much to chose from at all. It seemed very "British" orientated aswell, I dont mean that in a bad way at all but not much other nationalities seemed to stay in Pamps, I wouldnt go back there but then again I wouldnt say we had a nightmare holiday either.
All in all, Andorra = Much better fun, much better runs, much better resorts with more bars, clubs, restaurants. Bulgaria = poor & dirty.
Lets see if you get a severe beating for your honest views on Pamps, I said Bansko town was a dump and got a right thrashing from this forum, teehee I wait and watch.
We're off to Pas de la casa this Feb, first time i've been anywhere other than Boro! Also going to Boro twice though this season.
I'm sure you will have a great time; if you are a true skier/boarder, then what will matter will be the snow and the lenght of the queues - hopefully there will be lots of one and none of the other!!
I'll look forward to the comparision you're planning to do on your return!
