Will my foot cramps stop as I've been back to the shop, they've adjusted my boots, given me heel lifts, tried to sort out my dodgy canting and been really helpful all round.
I'm going to try them out when we take the scouts dry skiing next week, and if I'm still in agony after 15 minutes, it will either be new boots or new footbeds. Don't want to spend a day wasted getting new boots on holiday.
Your boots may need widening - keep taking them back to the shop until they are comfortable - otherwise you will be miserable if you are getting cramping pains. A good shop should alter them FOC. Try wearing very thin socks with them - if they are more comfortable then it may be that they are too narrow and need adjusting.
My mum is my local chiropodist - retired, but still does my toenails and hard skin (yuck!) - nowt wrong with my feet except I over pronate on both feet - the inside rarely touches the ground though whilst I strike extremely hard on the outside... the guy in the shop did suggest that I could get orthotic footbeds made if I still get problems.
Good to see that you are a Scout Leader. 10-14 year olds or the new Explorer Scout Section?? I'm GSL at a group here in sunny Bicester and run the Cub Pack and help out at Beavers whilst the new leader awaits her warrant. Hubby is the District Nights Away Adviser so well into it here!!
Just wondering if I'm brave enough to venture onto the slopes with my Cubs. Need to sleep on that one I think!!
