Thanks for that. Wasn't sure whether to change in uk but will take your advice & change in resort! Where's best to exchange would you suggest?

Nade is right, best to exchange in resort. There are official crown booths ( kiosks ) on the Main Street where you can change money. There is a hole in the wall too in yhe Rila hotel if i remember correctly if you need to withdraw cash.
