hey,
Austria is better, but then again bulgaria is well worth a vis esp for the price!!if you go to the good austrian resorts they hav the height and the very good snow, but resorts like bansko are up and coming hav the same lift systems! if you want to pay double for basicly a bit more skiing then go to austria but bulgaria is very nice.
I normally go to Austria, Ramsau between Chrism.& NewYear but the price for 1 day at Reiteralm is 34,50 euro!!! this year.
Also there is no nightlife.
So I decided to stay home and return in January to Boro.

We skied last year at Neiderau. But have now bought a place in Bansko
- didn't try the skiing first. How do you think the 2 compare?
We have booked for 2 weeks at the end of March 2005 so hope the snow will still be good enogh then.
As it was my first time lox, Austria will always hold a special place in my heart for skiing, but Bulgaria holds a bigger part and I can never see me returning to Austria.
Then again.......... who knows what the future holds.
Skied all over Austria, loved the place. The bigger the resort lke Kitz has plenty of nightlife (but its too busy World cup week in Jan!). Not cheep though,
Last year went to the three valleys in France. Excellent skiing but its really expensive. must have shelled out enough to have a week in bulgaria when I was there alone!
hence we are taking the Bulgarian option next year, and if its as good as you all say, thats where we will be going untill the kids are older.
