BANDERISHKA POLYANA.

Hi all
Hornster mentioned all lifts open in Bansko, can anyone confirm whether the chair
serving BANDERISHKA POLYANA., the long red to the right of the main skiing, is
actually open. It was rumoured that this area was to stay closed until they sorted the avalanche problem, might have been just hear say ????

Hi Steve. The snow cover part of this website lists all the runs and states whether they are open or not. Does this help. It has not been updated since 6 Jan but I presume you would be able to pick out the run you mention.

Yes but its still too far away. Friends of ours are off to Austria tomorrow so its going to be skiing talk in the pub tonight.

Austria looks pretty bare at the moment in most places. Have a look at the conditions report - it isn't a very exciting picture. Tell your friends not to take any new ski's or boards as they may get a bit knackered.

Same here Val, our friends are off to Kitzbuhal for the race weekend, not to race but just for the party, lucky gits...
Anyway they will all be working when we are out there !!

They are going to Obergurghl which is very high and has loads of snow. Not cheap though. You pay for altitude in the Alps these days big time!!

Right. They should be ok in that case. Still not excellent even very high up, but certainly much better than the lower resorts.

Thats so true. All these posts from people going out tomorrow and next saturday and getting sooooooooo excited. Our turn will come next month eh?
