Well Bob - you're spot on - I paid a visit to the doc and he prescribed some anti-bulgariotics but it seems my system is immune to them - what to do?
I've tried converting the number of sleeps into seconds so that I can count down to my 07 return but i got bored after 3 days (259,200 seconds) - plus the counting becomes difficult.
So I have decided to return for a week in Summer to suss the place out. Don't suppose you want to join my campaign to have a glacier built in Bansko do you?(
re: is there a lot of snow in summer for the glacier?
We were sitting in our favourite bar in our favourite resort talking to our favourite bar owner one friday this jan and he said that march is the best time to go (not summer) so we said see you next march then, on the way home we forgot the 'next' part of the promise and booked for this march. We went to Obzor in august and it was great...........just no snow though let us know if you book

A friend of mine was in Bansko last summer for a week and enjoyed it. Obviously a different holiday but you can walk or mountain bike up the ski road and still get up to the mountain area. As Bansko is a real town there are plenty of places open for eating drinking etc. I have some photos which I can send if you like. He found it quite relaxing I believe.
there loads to do in bansko hillwalking, caving, bear watching, bird watching, para gliding, mountain boarding if your game enough, fishing, hunting deer or wild boar, the booze is still cheap and bansko is only a couple of hours drive from greece, turkey, next year they will also have a new 18 hole golf course designed by ian woosnam not to mention the spa .
yeah, I have been. Imagine the runs with no snow, nobody around. Only the colorful locals (I mean the Bansko ones, because I am Bulgarian too but from Sofia). Lots of grappa, salads, long table, fire, songs dancing. Air so fresh that you cant get drunk really. Nightingales, other weird creatures making sounds. The whole thing is happening exactly where the runs end, where the chair lift starts. Ofcourse the lift is not running at that time but the guys that operate the lift are around the ...

Ofcourse the lift is not running at that time but the guys that operate the lift are around the table, they specifically ran it for us. More than that - I dont think you can find in the summer. keep in mind, the Bansko locals are know as Macedonians, they are tough, sing well, drink alot, have guns, steal women, fall in love like crazy.. quite romantic actually... and somewhere donw there is the village, you just see the lights alittle...
yeah, I guess this is how it sounds. actually we used to organize those weekend years ago, i have friends who had a restaurant up there, one of the little ones... it was more than 6 yrs ago, but i believe they still have those summer nights up in the mountain.
