When the snow's good in both resorts bansko's better. Simple as that. If there's no snow in either resort boro is better. Simple as that. Both have good snow (bansko a little better) at the mo so come to your own conclusions.
Bansko gets my vote.
Having skied Borovets for some 10 years and Bansko 3 years.
Borovets has that homley feel, but bansko has the skiing.
I visited both this year and felt that Borovets was let down by poor piste management and the condition of the lifts, but the night life is readily avalible in Borovets.
In Bansko the slopes were well maintained. Everything is spaced out so you have to walk to your favourite bar, but I would still go back to Bansko than Borovets.
Hope this helps ...

I'm in the same boat and it might come down to price ... at the moment I can get Borovets leaving on the 6th or 7th or March for around £120 cheaper than Bansko. Is the better hill worth an extra 100 quid?

we watched a couple of football games in the lion pub and the manager couldnt do enough for you.
at the end of the week we attended the ski party at the happy end bar and my boys were really looking forward to it;but it was a real let down no fuss made .the ski instructors went home early.in other resorts we have skied in. the instructors have the best and fasters ski out of the groups and give them certificate for there efforts on stage.
is better the devil you know or shall i just book fof BORO.
we are all going to the travel agents today but i am swaying towards bansko just because of ski conditions, but i do like the night live and reading other reviews i know boro has better night live.
