We set out to Bansko on Saturday - this will be my second time and I cant wait. I will be changing my cash in resort as you usually get a lot better deal - it all adds up in these days of credit crunching Booze Very Happy

I am going to Borovets in three weeks time. Is it true that the exchange rate is better in Borovets than UK?
Is there any snow-automobile in Borovets? How much a go?

Hi Calvin, yes you will usually get better rates in resort, there have been quite a few threads on this if you do a search on it.

I was in Borovets last week and the waiter in the Rila gave us 2.10, in the local booth 2.07 and when I used my Nationwide card in the Rila hotel ATM no fees and got 2.17. Before I left the UK I had looked around and the best I could find was Tescos at 2.04. I was glad I waited until i got out there.

Definitely use cash machines to withdraw. Your best bet.
Airports are a pure rip-off.
Other exchanges vary too much.
