They come to stay at our luxury villa in Croatia! Apols, but I'll be taking my scouts to camp... where would I rather be, a field in Oxfordshire or a villa in Croatia - hmmm difficult that one...J

Hi Judith - both my hubby and I are ex Scout Leaders and know where you're coming from (lovely little children!!!) Actually I used to be the cook on camp and absolutely loved it (spoilt them rotten)

To be honest as an Explorer (1 up from scouts) if it wer nice weather I'd rather be In a croation field near to a villa that we could do all the cooking and chilling in

We are off to Youlbury - and we'll only take about 12 boys (out of 2 max - with the Beavers coming for a one night sleepover...
The scouts love doing the cooking as they get the final say on the menus so they have the food they enjoy e.g doing proper kebabs with skewers is great fun and for dessert, fruit kebabs dipped in melted chocolate. We know how to live... Oh, and we always book an indoor hut so we've got proper facilities - not all the time cooking on fires - the novelty ...

Come on down, bring your friends, head for a good campsite (Example.Hendra, Newquay)get to the beach, hire a board and suit and give it a go....
Newquay as example, great pubs/clubs/atmosphere, fun in the sun (hopefully)
though most seaside towns on the north coast of Cornwall and Devon will have a great welcome for ski/surf minded people....
(and for those who think surfing is as easy as boarding, it ain`t !!) but it is great fun trying....
