BORO CONDITIONS - jANUARY 16TH - 18CM OF FRESH SNOW
Hi Guys,
Following my post late last night, the snow started at the top of the gondola circa 1.30am and finished not long ago. There was 18cm of fresh snow at the top (Markudjik slopes) and around an inch down in the resort. At 5am the Markudjik slopes were pisted (lucky guys on the night shift!!) BUT they haven'y yet opened anything else - they have said they may open Markudjik 1, so will let you know if and when this happens.

Hi Guys,
Following my post late last night, the snow started at the top of the gondola circa 1.30am and finished not long ago.
In the interim, conditions are:
Suhar (top of gondola) - excellent conditions in terms of piste, but pretty misty still (may lift later)
Rila slopes - both reds and nursery are already skiing very well which is due to the few additonal cm's of snow in the resort last night. Conditions are currently quite cold, but not freezing, so at the moment, the slopes are more 'powdery' than 'icy'.
Sitnyakovo (blue) is open and again, this has gone from being very patchy to having a fresh covering of snow, which has meant the conditions are more like those of the other Rila slopes.
Yastrebets - theese are in very good condiiton as they also had 14cm last night. The 4-man chair has only just started to work and on some sites it says closed, but it has just opend. These slopes are in excellent condition but it is a bit misty towards the top.
The run down from the gondola to Yastrebets is still classed as 'closed' BUT, people are doing it and it is in better condition than yesterday with the fresh snow.
re: BORO CONDITIONS - jANUARY 16TH - 18CM OF FRESH SNOW
Hi NYCK,
At the moment, Sitnyakovo and Mussala Path still not a lot more snow to open up as there were totally bare at the bottom, so the new snow isn't enough to open the but Bobby's naked dancing must be working, so keep hoping....!!!

Ok - new news, Markudjik 1 has enough snow to be open BUT they haven't opened it yet (contrary to the reports on their own website...!!) as it is just too misty up there - if the mist, clears they will open it.
Sorry for double posting - forum really slow today.
re: BORO CONDITIONS - jANUARY 16TH - 18CM OF FRESH SNOW
Hi All,
New update...Bobby is now on Yastrebets and they have opened the top down from the gondola to the 4 man chair (Haramia) and the snow on Yastrebets is the best it has been all season - soft powder, no icy and perfect snow...
Markudjik 1 is still closed due to mist and probably won't open today now, but will let you know if this changes.

Good news for you guys arriving although at the moment, not much more has been opened - if there is any more snow, will you get you and the kids doing the lock-in!!
