Morning All,

To-date, a little bit of good news....3cm of fresh snow at the top of the mountain and temps are slightly lower - circa 0 degrees at the top and still sunny. The queue for the gondola was a lot less today, but the operators have said that is due to it being so icy 'up top' yesterday that many people have stayed on the Rila side today. Saying that, the new snow (albeit small) along with freshly pisted slopes, means that although conditions are not 'fantastic' they are much much better than yesterday. A few icy patches, but in general conditions very good up there.

Anyway, here goes...


Sitnyakovo Express - (BLUE) is closed - similar to Mussala Pathway and as it is lower down conditions are worse. Sitnyakovo 2 and 3 are also closed.
Rila, Rotata and Iglika drags - all open - GOOD CONDITIONS BUT GETTING A BIT BARE
Martinovi 1, 2 and 3 (Rila runs) are open, 4 is closed as is the black on the Rila side. CONDITIONS GOOD BUT A BIT ICY


Mussala Pathway closed - some people are still skiing it, but beware, there are some rocks / grass patches
Markudjik 1 and 2b are open as is the nursery slope at the top of the gondola - CONDITIONS ARE VERY GOOD BUT A BIT ICY
Yastrebets - all 3 slopes are open as is the fon fon and CONDITIONS ARE ALSO VERY GOOD

Forgot to say....local news in Samokov has said it will snow a bit today (not happened yet) and then more on Wednesday and Thursday, but as always, a forecast is simply a forecast, so no idea if it will happen! I will let you know if (WHEN!) it happens!! On the positive side, it did say that it would snow last night and there is 3 cm of fresh snow at the top so, hopefully the rest will come true!

I've also read reports on here from people in the UK providing conditions that are often different to mine - not sure where the info has come from....! I know my reports are probably not what you want to hear but it's better you come prepared!! Saying that, even the few cm's last night have helped, so, my advice is to keep up the positive thinking, keep dancing, praying and anything else you can think of!!

It is now snowing slightly at the top, albeit very little...it is a start. I just read that conditions up top 'were great' that's not totally true as a number of runs are closed and it is still icy in patches.... It is however better than yesterday...

Also, just got a phone call update! Temps have remained about 0degrees and getting slightly colder. Although Mussala path is still closed, it is in better condition than yesterday. Marky 1 was very good, but has got icier as the day has gone on. Yastrebets is better conditions and still very good.



Kas

In borovets at the min and kas updates are spot on. . No snow at the bottom but went up in the gondala today to the very top and it was snowin slightly up there. .conditions have been good for beginners on the rila as its slightly slushy as the day before was way too icy. This is my first time here and it is amazin I love this place already and have only been here since sat. . Skidooin tomorrow which looks good and sofia on thurs with plenty of skiin in between. But rest assure people this is a great place.
