Hi All,
After spending a week away from the laptop and basically getting some energy back after a hectic but amazing season am now posting again!!
I know there are a number of you coming out this weekend and probably panicking about the hot temps etc, but there is still great skiing to be had - especially at the top - beautiful blue skies, empty pistes and relatively good snow until lunchtime. Bobby has also said that it's surprising that even though it's hot, the conditions are still surprisingly good until 2ish or so... He has gone to the 'beach' this morning with some of the snowboarders (the second off-piste bit) as the snow there is still amazing - apparently!!
So...whilst it's not as good as it was up until a couple of weeks ago there is still plenty of snow so do not panic!!
Ok...just after I typed that Bobby just called... they did the ''beach', then all off-piste through the bushes and came down Mussala path which (contrary to reports from people not in the resort) is still in excellent condition all the way to the bottom... The snow is perfect and no slush / rocks or having to walk - only on the flatter bits due to them being on snowboards... They are having a quick drink and then going to do it again as after about 1pm he expects mussala path conditions to ...

All in all - very happy people currently having a BBB....!!

re: BORO UPDATE - 23RD MARCH
Hi Kas,
Now you gone and done it, you brought my depression back
I do miss the BBB!!
Maybe I should get D, But and S.P. to book us some flights, if he does I will bring Easter eggs for all !!!
Temperatures are going to drop over the weekend to be very cold again (-6 or -7c) by Tuesday.
Im not sure which way it is going to go, but there is rain/snow to come Sunday through to Monday. I think it will start as rain and then gradually turn to snow (at lower levels)
" The Beach", now that was one serious adrenalin run. that was the last run of my trip and by far the best in deep powder, just wish id had time to do it again.
Well I am in Boro and not reporting wrong info about the lower end runs which are very quickly thining and becoming what shall I say- brown snow.
On top and until 11ish is fine then a bit manageable is Iastrebets runs which are holding better but then if you go all the way down the colour changes.
Unless I am colour blind(which I am not)

Iastrebets 1 all the way down to base after the turning right towards the mid gondola is fast melting by the minute and the last bit(not the flat one mentionned above) is getting narrow to avoid rocks and soil.
The same is for Mussala path.
First bit is OK then the last third is almost just enough to reach the end.
Best bits are:first thing AM on top only then shift to Iastrebets then nowhere else to shift.Maybe night skiing but after 730:rs as. The snow before that very slushy.
Nothing wrong just this is the end of season like it or not.
Lucky if you get some skiing everywhere(don't think so)
Deffinitely there will be runs with snow on them until mid April.
Tomorrow is going to be mega mega busy with Sofians descending in.
