BOROVETS 11TH JAN - UPDATE

Morning,
Apologies for delay today - back into work now so a bit busy!!
Rila runs identical to yesterday. There was some snow last night, but it only lasted a couple of hours and wasn't really heavy enough to achieve anything. main problem is sun is out and is just helping everything melt. Gondola is open again - for walkers only.
4 man chair is open (shuttle buses still running). Yastrebets 2 and 3 are in better condition than yesterday and snow cannons are still running as it's ...

We met up with people from here last night and everyone is still in a great mood despite the conditions...although maybe that was the rakia...!!

And obviously '4 man chair' is Yastrebets chair - Rila 4-man is closed and Sitnyakovo Express is open for walkers only.

Thanks Kas. Do you know whether the bottom end of the Green run (ROTATA) I think and its drag are open ? I presume that the Musala footpath/ski run are Not skiable ?

No, this drag is closed. There are just 3 lifts open for skiing - Yastrebets 4 man chair and the 2 drags on the rila slopes (rila drag and iglika). The other lifts which are open - Gondola and Sitnyakovo are only open for walking.Musala path is also closed - but open for walkers if you walk down from the gondola and across.

There are 8 of us arriving at Boro on 23rd January for a week 4 adults and 4 juniors and only 2 of us have skied previously. Thanks for your reports lets hope for snow. Not sure if we should arrange to meet after poor waterski pete was ruined last night!re: BOROVETS 11TH JAN - UPDATE
Hi Neil, im coming out 23rd Jan also. Just me and step daughter she is in lessons. Im looking for some people to snowboard/ski with while she is in the lessons. If any of you fancy meeting up that would be good. We are stay at the Lion hotel anf flying from Bristol.Cheers
