Hello Everyone!
Well, what to say apart from no improvements and no snow in sight - unfortunately!
There are still very few slopes open and now the gondola is also shut for walkers due to very high winds. As before, unless there is more snow things will get even worse so if you can cancel you may want to - this will avoid you becoming disappointed and hopefully be able to come back to Borovets at another time when conditions are better.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any more info!

p.s for those people writing that all business owners etc / people with vested interests are still promoting Borovets this is a very sweeping statement! Whist some may be doing this, we have been providing real-updates and suggesting people cancel regardless of the business affect this will have on us (and other businesses) not for just this season but for longevity of the resort.
Well done Kas.... unfortunately the 'bigging up' syndrome is active here in Bansko to... We believe honesty is definitely the best decision, any short term gain financially would be swept aside by the ongoing loss.... sadly trying to impress this on a lot of BG businesses is a lost cause
Well we will be coming out to see you on the 22nd even though it is likely to be crap as we know you would miss us so much. But as you say next year will be a different prospect depending on what happens.

Ayup Kas , how are you . It's got to snow at some point , me and Sarah are out on the 8th March , but must say we are felling a bit nervous on the amount of snow, what do the locals think?. Hope to see you soon.
We were toying with the idea of going back to Boro this year but have decided to give it a miss until next year.
But I must say it's admirable that you're supplying honest updates despite owning a business out there.
People can be critical of the owners promoting Borovets but it's understandable when you have a seasonal business that is open for a very short window of the year. Rather than be critial of those, I'd prefer to give extra thanks to the business owners who remain open and ...

Thanks for the very honest message. I am meant to be out on the 25th, but have until the weekend to change hotel if I want (to one in bansko or pamps)
I think pamps is out of the question with the transfer time and cost(will be paying over £100 to change hotel)
I am seriously considering bansko, and hoping the cannons can do their jobs (althoug the high temps wont help with that)
has anyone been to both over the past few days, which is looking the most 'show sure'
Thanks ...

Thanks again for your honesty. I will be trying borovets again next year. But dont want to have a poor time this year and never return
I can only echo the comments regarding the honesty of your reporting.
Currently in Pamporovo where all but two of the runs are open. Temps are high, but there currently is enough snow for the moment although every day with the warm weather takes its toll.
Lets hope this warm spell is over quickly and all the BG Resorts get some more snow.
